The 8171 Ramzan package is a seasonal relief payment for low-income families, checked through the official 8171 service. This guide explains who qualifies, how to check by CNIC, and how to stay safe from the scams that appear every Ramzan.

The package helps families with the higher cost of food during Ramzan. Checking it is free and uses only your CNIC.

What is the 8171 Ramzan package?

Each Ramzan, the government usually provides extra relief to low-income families on top of their regular support. This Ramzan relief package is checked through the same 8171 service you use for the rest of BISP. It is meant to ease the higher cost of food and essentials during the month.

Because it is seasonal, the amount and dates are announced each year and can change. The reliable way to know your status is to check on the official 8171 portal.

Check the 8171 Ramzan package by CNIC at 8171.bisp.gov.pk.

Who is eligible

The Ramzan relief is generally for low-income families already registered in the BISP / NSER system with a qualifying PMT poverty score. Priority goes to the most deserving households. If you are not registered yet, see our BISP registration guide, and to understand the score, read our BISP eligibility guide.

How to check the Ramzan package by CNIC

You check in two free ways:

  • Online: enter your 13-digit CNIC at 8171.bisp.gov.pk and type the captcha.
  • By SMS: send your 13-digit CNIC, without dashes, to 8171.

The result shows whether you are eligible and what your status is. For the full walkthrough, read how to check BISP 8171 online.

How much is it, and when

The amount and the payment dates are announced each Ramzan and can change from year to year. For that reason we do not list a fixed figure here. Confirm the current amount and schedule on the official portal or by sending your CNIC to 8171. Treat any number you see on a blog as out of date until you confirm it officially.

Ramzan package vs Nigehban package

People use these names loosely. The federal Ramzan relief is checked through 8171. Some provincial Ramzan or Nigehban packages may run their own process and use a different official channel. Always confirm which program applies to you, and use only the official portal or number announced for it. This is also part of the wider Ehsaas program.

Stay safe from Ramzan fraud

Scams spike every Ramzan. Protect yourself:

  • 8171 is the only official number for checking. Ignore other numbers and “Ramzan package” links sent on WhatsApp.
  • Checking is free. Never pay an agent to “register” you for the Ramzan package.
  • Never share your OTP, PIN, or fingerprint with anyone who offers to release your relief.
  • Ignore messages promising a fixed “Ramzan bonus” if you click a link or share details.
