A Kisan Card check online lets farmers confirm their CM Punjab Kisan Card status and loan balance by CNIC. This guide shows you how to check your status, how to see your balance, what each result means, and what to do if it does not appear.

If you have already done your Kisan Card registration, checking your status confirms whether your card is approved and ready for the seasonal loan.

How to do a Kisan Card check online

You confirm your card status in two ways:

  1. By SMS to 8070: send your CNIC as instructed by the official Kisan Card service.
  2. On the official portal: use the Agriculture Department’s Kisan Card page at agripunjab.gov.pk.

Both confirm whether your application is approved and your card is active. Your CNIC is how the system finds your record.

Do your Kisan Card check by sending your CNIC to 8070 or on the official portal.

How to check your Kisan Card balance

The card status and the loan balance are two different things:

  • The status (approved / active) is confirmed by the 8070 service and the portal.
  • Your loan balance and remaining seasonal limit are tracked through the bank account linked to your card.

To see your balance, use your card’s bank channel, such as the bank’s app, helpline, or a branch, with your card and CNIC. The interest-free loan is used through the card at approved input dealers, so the bank is the place that shows what you have used and what remains.

What your status means

  • Approved / active. Your card is issued and ready to use for the seasonal loan. This does not by itself add money; you use the loan through the card.
  • Pending / under review. Your application is still being processed. Check again later.
  • Not found. Your CNIC is not in the system yet, usually because registration is not complete or your land record needs updating.

If your status does not appear

  • Check that you sent the SMS in the correct format and that your CNIC is registered.
  • The system can be busy; try again later.
  • If your record still does not show, you may not be approved yet, or your land record may need updating in PLRA.

Visit your Agriculture Department office to confirm. Our Kisan Card eligibility guide explains the PLRA land-record requirement and how to fix it.

Stay safe

Checking is free. To protect yourself:

  • Only use the official 8070 service and your card’s own bank channel.
  • Never pay an agent to check your status or “release” your loan.
  • Never share your OTP, PIN, or card details with anyone who calls or messages you.
